Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the picturesque Harshil-Mukhba area of ​​Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand on Feb 27.

In view of the proposed visit, the state government has launched preparations with Chief Secretary Radha Raturi chairing a high-level meeting in this regard, an official statement said on Wednesday.

The Chief Secretary said this visit of the Prime Minister can provide an opportunity to promote winter tourism in Uttarkashi.

Director General of Police (DGP) Deepam Seth, Principal Secretary R K Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli along with officials of the Secretariate and police department, district administration participated in the meeting.
