The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) on Saturday cancelled the Sept 21 graduate-level examination which was under CBI probe following the paper leak.

A new date will be announced within three months for the examination, a top government official said.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the UKSSSC took a significant decision in the larger interest of students. “This decision was taken in light of the inquiry commission’s report, to maintain the purity, transparency, and credibility of examinations in the state,” the CM said.

“This rescheduled examination will not impact the schedule of other examinations. Ensuring fair opportunities and a reliable examination system for every student in Uttarakhand is our priority. We have recommended a CBI investigation into the cheating scandal; our government will not allow any compromise with the future of students or the trust of parents,” Dhami said on X.
