Five killed, 23 injured in Uttarakhand bus accident (updating)

Five people were killed and 23 injured when a bus fell into deep gorge near Narendra Nagar in Tehri district in Uttarakhand on Monday.

Immediately after the accident, the SDRF personnel launched rescue operation and rushed all the injured to nearby hospitals, top police officials said.

Nearly 29 people were travelling in the bus when the accident occurred.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his grief over the accident and asked top administrative officials to provide best medical care to the injured.
