Cong seeks CBI probe into suicide of Udhamsingh Nagar farmer

Scores of Congress workers on Friday staged a protest march near the Uttarakhand police headquarters in Dehradun seeking CBI probe into the alleged suicide Sakhwant Singh, of a farmer of Udhamsingh Nagar district in Uttarakhand.

Later, state Congress President Ganesh Godiyal also presented a memorandum to DGP Deepam Seth on three main demands which include the CBI probe, suspension of SSP Udhamsingh Nagar Manikant Mishra and arrest of all the culprits involved in the suicide.

Besides Godiyal, Leader of the opposition Yashpal Arya and former chief minister Harish Rawat also participated in the protest march.
