PrashantNews

Minnow Nepal squandered an excellent opportunity to register a victory over England after failing to score just 10 runs in the last over in the T20 World Cup at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

Nepal lost the match by just 4 runs.

In the last over, Nepal needed 10 runs for victory but Sam Curran bowled an excellent spell giving only six runs with Lokesh Bam and Karan K C failing to achieve the target.

Earlier, England despite losing wickets at regular intervals, managed to score 184 runs in 20 overs with W Jacks scoring 39 runs. Captain H Brook also contributed 53 runs.

At one stage, Nepal was struggling but Lokesh Bam scored quick runs in the last 2-3 overs especially against Jofra Archer. But as the victory target remained only 10 runs away in the last over, Nepalese boys miserably failed.

Interestingly, Nepal fans came in huge numbers to watch the match but were later looked crestfallen after the loss.
