Record 1.24 lakh pilgrims visit Kedarnath in first 4 days (updating with new pic)

A record 1.24 lakh pilgrims have so far visited Kedarnath shrine in Uttarakhand  in the first four days of the reopening of its portals.

“To ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage, the Rudraprayag district administration has implemented comprehensive and robust arrangements. Administrative and police forces have been strategically deployed at helipads, along trekking routes, and in areas prone to potential traffic congestion. The entire pilgrimage is being continuously monitored through a dedicated control room, enabling swift response and control over any situation that may arise,” an official statement said.

Providing an update, Rudraprayag District Magistrate Vishal Mishra stated that the pilgrimage has been proceeding successfully over the past four days, and all arrangements are fully well-organized.
