Five people were killed and five injured when a Bolero vehicle carrying a marriage party fell into a deep khud at Bagdhar area in Champawat district of Uttarakhand early on Friday.
According to police, the vehicle was going from Busail to Baltari area when the accident occurred. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital with the help of ropes due to difficult terrains.
The police later recovered the bodies. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the accident and asked the district administration to provide best medical care to the injured.
