Head slams century to guide Australia to 8 wickets victory over England

Travis Head scored a quickfire magnificent century to guide Australia to an eight wicket dramatic victory over England in one of the shortest Test matches on Saturday at Perth.

Chasing a target of 205 runs on the second day, Aussies lost only two wickets of Travis Head (123 from 83 deliveries) and J Weatherald (23). M Labuschagne with 51 runs and Captain Steve Smith (2) remained not out.

Earlier in the day, England collapsed from 65-1 to 164 all out in second innings to set hosts 205 run target for victory. Mitchell Starc again took three wickets while Scott Boland also bowled a marvellous spell to take four wickets. In the first innings, Starc had taken seven wickets.

Australia has now taken 1-0 lead in the five test Ashes series.
