Veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat on Sunday offered prayers at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

“Jai Sia Ram. Jai shree Ayodhya Dham”, the former Chief Minister wrote on the Facebook as posted pictures of his holding prayers inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. He said he went to Ayodhya to take blessings of the Lord Ram.

Significantly, Rawat’s visit to Ayodhya came after Congress party’s boycott of the consecration ceremony of the newly built Ram temple in Ayodhya on Jan 22.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with his cabinet colleagues had also offered prayers at the Temple in Ayodhya last month.
