Two cops injured after speeding BMW hits police barrier in Dehradun

Two police officials were injured when a speeding BMW car rammed into a barrier at Laltappar police chowki in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand shortly after midnight last night, police said on Sunday.

The accident occurred when the police on a regular vehicle checking signaled the BMW car to stop at the barrier. Instead of stopping, the speeding car hit the barrier injuring the two police officials.

Tarun (33), who was driving the car in an inebriated condition, was immediately arrested and sent to jail after medical checkup.

The two police officials who sustained injuries in the accident are Sub-Inspector (SI) Raghuvir Kaparwan and additional SI Manoj Kumar. The two police cops were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where their condition was out of danger.
