A large number of Congress workers on Tuesday held a protest march near the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha in the summer capital Gairsain voicing concern over a host of issues like the rising inflation, alleged atrocities against women, rising electricity tariffs, the deteriorating healthcare, rising unemployment and various corruption scams.
“I express my heartfelt gratitude to former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, Election Management Committee Chairman Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, Mahila Congress President Jyoti Rautela, former State President Karan Mahara, all Congress Party MLAs, other senior Congress leaders, officials from all District Congress Committees, young colleagues from the Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, and NSUI, and the thousands of Congressmen who participated,” State Congress President Ganesh Godiyal said in a statement.
“Your zeal, enthusiasm, and struggle make it clear that every Congress worker is fully prepared, with complete unity and strength, to bring about change in 2027 by removing the corrupt BJP government from power, which has failed on every front,” Godiyal claimed.
