Ahead of the reopening of Badrinath shrine on April 23, the Uttarakhand police on Monday said security has been tightened by deploying Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) around the temple area in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

“Reinforcing the security arrangements at Shri Badrinath Dham, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has now taken up its position. With the safety of devotees held paramount, the level of security at the Dham has reached the next level—maintaining a strict vigil against every potential threat, with full readiness to take immediate action,” the Uttarakhand police said.
