The state cabinet on Thursday decided to open a new centre for Hindu Studies in Dehradun-based Doon University from the next session, it was officially announced.
This will be the first such centre in a government educational institution in Uttarakhand, official sources said.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting which was presided over by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
