Golden Day: Indian boxers win seven gold medals at Glasgow Games

Indian pugilists won record seven gold medals at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on Saturday, their best-ever boxing performance at the international events.

The seven Indian boxing gold medallists are:

Preeti Pawar – Women’s 54kg
Jaismine Lamboria – Women’s 57kg
Sakshi Chaudhary – Women’s 51kg
Priya Ghanghas – Women’s 60kg
Arundhati Choudhary – Women’s 70kg
Sachin Siwach – Men’s 60kg
Ankush Panghal – Men’s 80kg

India also won three silver medals in boxing through:

Lovlina Borgohain – Women’s 75kg
Jadumani Singh – Men’s 55kg

Narender Berwal — Men’s 90 kg

Overall, India concluded its boxing campaign with 9 medals (7 gold and 2 silver), making boxing the country’s most successful sport at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
