Lessons imparted on women’s rights to students

Students getting Udayan Shalini fellowship in Dehradun on Sunday were given lessons about women’s rights and training in self-defense.

Vimal Dabral, the convener of Udayan Shalini fellowship said various programmes are organized from time to time for the all-round development of the students under the Udyan Shalini fellowship programme. Students are given information related to their constitutional and legal rights and women’s safety, he said.

Lawyer Bikram Singh said the government is running various schemes for the safety and assistance of women and gave a presentation on legal rights which are given to women on various crimes that are being committed against them.
