The Uttarakhand government on Monday issued a notification to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the hill state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami issued the notification through remote control at a function in Dehradun.
With this, Uttarakhand became the first state after the independence to implement the UCC.
