China stormed to top position in the medal tally bagging 39 gold medals and 27 silvers at the end of day 15 on Saturday in the Paris Olympics.
US stood second winning 38 gold medals and 42 silvers followed by Australia in the third place with 18 gold medals and 18 silvers.
Japan with 18 gold medals and 12 silvers continued to remain on the fourth position. The hosts France emerged on fifth position with 16 gold medals and 24 silvers. Great Britain is now on sixth position with 14 gold medals and 22 silvers.
India was pushed down further to 71st position as it failed to win more medals. Pakistan was also pushed down to 62.
