Concluding the Wildlife Week celebrations, Dr. Samir Sinha, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, on Friday released the new Hindi editions of the Indian Forest Act and the Wildlife (Protection) Act, published by Natraj Publishers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sinha described the publication of these important legislations in Hindi as a welcome and progressive development. He congratulated Natraj Publishers for their effort and observed that the availability of these Acts in Hindi would greatly benefit not only the personnel of the Forest Department but also all those concerned with the conservation of the nation’s rich natural heritage.
Dr. Sinha further noted that both Acts have recently undergone significant amendments, reflecting the evolving needs of forest and wildlife conservation and addressing the growing imperative for balanced development both within and outside forest areas. These legal revisions, he emphasized, are the result of extensive consultations among diverse stakeholders and careful deliberations by lawmakers in both Houses of Parliament.
He concluded by underlining that a wider understanding of forest and wildlife laws is essential for promoting general awareness and ensuring collective responsibility in safeguarding the environment for future generations.
