Dehradun: St. Joseph’s Academy on Saturday honoured its meritorious students and dedicated teachers at its Annual Awards Ceremony for the academic session 2025-26, with Uttarakhand Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Basava V.R.C. Purushottam as the chief guest.
Addressing students, Dr. Purushottam urged them to uphold the values of integrity, discipline and innovation, saying success comes to those who remain committed to their goals. Referring to the song Reach for the Stars, he encouraged students to pursue their dreams with determination.
A highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of three teachers—Gurusharan Singh Hanspal, Abha Khanna and Anuradha Tandon—for completing 25 years of dedicated service to the institution. Teachers with 100 per cent attendance during the academic year were also honoured.
The school celebrated its outstanding ICSE and ISC board examination results. In ICSE, Aarush Arora and Nishad Nanda jointly topped the school with 99 per cent, followed by Aradhya Joshi (98.2%) and Kriday Gupta (97.6%).
In the ISC Science stream, Anushka Kotnala topped with 99.5 per cent, while Jaya Kapoor led the Commerce stream with 97 per cent and Daksh Joshi topped Humanities with 98.5 per cent.
Daksh Joshi was also conferred the prestigious Josephite of the Year award for his exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities and all-round contribution to school life.
Principal Rev. Brother Joseph presented a memento to the chief guest, and the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head Girl and Head Boy.
