Bollywood star Aamir Khan has confirmed that he will marry his longtime partner Gauri Spratt on July 5, marking a new chapter in the actor’s personal life. The wedding is expected to be a private affair attended by close family members and friends.
The 61-year-old actor, known for blockbuster films such as Lagaan, 3 Idiots and Dangal, revealed that the reports about his wedding were true and said he would tie the knot after returning from the US where he is currently travelling.
Khan and Spratt have reportedly been in a relationship for more than two years. The actor publicly introduced Spratt to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations last year, confirming a relationship that had largely remained away from the public eye.
According to reports, the couple has been living together for over a year and decided to formalise their relationship after building what sources describe as a stable and happy life together. The ceremony is expected to be intimate, reflecting the couple’s preference for privacy.
This will be Khan’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao. Despite their separation, Khan has maintained cordial relations with both former spouses.
Spratt, who hails from Bengaluru and has worked in the wellness, beauty and fashion sectors, has largely stayed away from the spotlight. Friends of the couple say they share interests in art, travel and philanthropy.
The wedding is expected to draw considerable attention from the film industry, although the guest list is likely to remain limited in keeping with the couple’s low-key approach.
