Top seed Carlos Alcaraz (22) on Sunday became the youngest Australian Open Champion defeating 10-time title holder Novak Djokovic 2-6,6-2,6-3,7-5 at Melbourne Park. Alcaraz also became the youngest man ever to win all four Grand Slams or Career Grand Slam, surpassing Rafael Nadal’s record. Nadal, who watched the final from Rod laver stadium, was 24 when he did it. Alcaraz also became the youngest man to win the Australian Open title at the age of 22.

The defeat also shattered Djokovic’s dream of winning his 25th grand slam title that had eluded him since he last won the US open championship in 2023.
