Girl’s body found in plastic bag in Dehradun

The body of a young girl was on Monday found in a plastic bag at a tea estate in Vasant Vihar area of Dehradun, police said.

The girl has been identified as Vishaka (21), a native of Prem Nagar locality in Dehradun. However, there are no serious marks of injuries on the body which has been sent for postmortem.

“We are investigating the case from all angles. Prima facie it appears to be a case of murder,” said SP City Pramod Kumar.

The recovery of the body created shock in the area as large number of people gathered to inquire about the incident.

The police has started questioning the family members of the girl. “We cannot disclose much as the case is in delicate stage,” said Kumar.
