Six people from Himachal Pradesh were killed and one injured when an Alto car feel into a deep  khud near Tyuni area in Dehradun district on Wednesday, police said.

All the six people, natives of Senj village in Shimla district, were killed on the spot as the car rolled down 800 meter down the hill. The car (UK07DU-4719) was going to Atal area in the Chakrata hills when the accident occurred. They were going to a temple of local deity.

As the information was received, a team of SDRF rushed to the spot for the rescue operation. The injured was shifted to nearby hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Suraj Bahadur (35), Sanju Bahadur (25), Sheetal (25), Sanjana (21), Divyansh (10) and Yash (5).

Few days ago, six people were killed when a car fell into river Yamuna at Nainbagh area near Mussoorie.
