The Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL) on Saturday said it is committed to providing electricity of the high quality at reasonable tariffs to the consumers of the hill state.
Despite the ever-increasing demand and challenging competitive conditions in the market, UPCL is determined to maintain a smooth supply of electricity to every village and every household in the entire state.
As a result of the able leadership and innovative power purchase strategy of its Managing Director Anil Yadav, the UPCL has succeeded in maintaining smooth power supply in sparse-continuous industries, cities, remote villages across the state.
“It is possible to provide smooth power supply only with the cooperation of the aware public and the guidance of the administration and the Uttarakhand government,” a top UPCL official said. Till the release of notification on November 30, 2024 in the cities, towns, rural areas and industries of Uttarakhand, no schedule rostering has been done from UPCL level and the details of power supply of different categories of consumers in the last month are as follows:

The total estimated electricity demand tomorrow, dated 01.12.2024, is 38.16 million units, in which 100% availability of electricity will be ensured by UPCL from various sources as per the estimated electricity demand. There will be no cut of any kind is likely to occur from UPCL level tomorrow. In order to provide smooth electricity supply to the consumers, in case of any unavoidable situation of shortage of electricity, electricity will be purchased through Energy Exchange, UPCL officials said.
