Sixty-eight people including 25 from Nepal are missing in the Aug 5 Dharali disaster, the state emergency operation centre Dehradun in the revised figures said on Tuesday.
Besides, one body has also been recovered from the debris in Dharali, according to the revised figures.
Massive floods in Khirgad on Aug 5 flattened much of Dharali town in Uttarkashi district in the hill state raising fears that scores of people might have been buried alive.
The missing people include nine army personnel, eight from Dharali village, five from nearby areas of Dharali, one from Tehri district, 13 from Bihar, six from Uttar Pradesh, one from Rajasthan and 25 labourers from Nepal.
Earlier, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey on Monday had stated that the government was trying to find the whereabouts of 24 Nepali labourers who were reportedly missing. The government was finding this information from their concerned contractors.
Pandey had also stated that five Nepali workers who were earlier considered missing were found safe. He also gave the example of the Kedarnath disaster where many people who were reportedly missing had returned to their homes from the affected area.
