St. Joseph’s Academy (SJA) on Friday conducted its junior school investiture ceremony with great enthusiasm. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest, Iva Ashish Srivastava, IAS, Director (Census).

The programme commenced on a serene note with a prayer, invoking blessings for the newly elected council members. This was followed by a vibrant Rajasthani Sufi prayer dance, which beautifully blended spirituality with cultural expression.

The school choir uplifted the atmosphere with a melodious rendition of courage, accompanied by a soulful instrumental performance by the budding musicians. Adding to the lively spirit of the event, students presented a western dance performance on “I Am Better When I’m Dancing”, which was received with great applause. The choir further captivated the audience with a meaningful performance of “Yeh Waqt Na Thehra Hai”, highlighting the value of time and perseverance.

An engaging audio-visual presentation introduced the newly elected council members. The solemn oath of office was then administered by the Junior School Coordinator, Vimi Sondhi, marking a significant moment as the young leaders pledged to uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them.

The Chief Guest, along with the Patrician Brothers, ceremoniously pinned the badges on the council members, while the sashes were adorned by the parents of the prefects, symbolising the formal induction of the student leaders.

In her address, Srivastava emphasized that true leadership lies not merely in holding a position but in being empathetic and understanding towards others. Her words left a lasting impression on the young minds, encouraging them to lead with compassion.

Brother Joseph, Principal SJA, in his address, congratulated the newly appointed council members and motivated them to strive for excellence while upholding the ethos of the institution.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the junior school Head Boy and Head Girl, followed by the school song and the National Anthem, bringing the event to a memorable close.
