PrashantNews

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday visited Mana village near Badrinath Dham in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand and posed for photographs with local people there.

During his visit in 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stated that the border villages should be called first villages and not the last villages.

After Modi’s visit, Mana in now known as the first village of India instead of the last village as it was usually called. Accordingly, the Border Road Organization (BRO) has also put up a sign board at the entrance of the border village by renaming it as “first Indian village Mana”, a year after Modi’s visit.
