Three people were killed and four injured in a head-on collision between a car and an e-rickshaw in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand on Sunday, police said.

The accident, which occurred in Ferupur village on the Laksar road, was so severe that the e-rickshaw was completely damaged.

After hearing screams, local residents rushed to the spot and informed the police. With the help of villagers, the police pulled the injured out of the vehicles and took them to the hospital.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the car’s high speed was the cause of the accident.
